Thank you all so much for your help, support and belief in Global Wordsmiths during these recent, hectic months. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. Here are a few of the things we’ve been up to: “New" Location. Global Wordsmiths moved on June 1st to Ascender, Pittsburgh’s hub for entrepreneurship and innovation. It’s so good to finally have “A Room of Our Own”. Our not-so-new permanent address is 6401 Penn Avenue, 3rd Floor, Pittsburgh PA 15206. The Language Access Project has launched! Our innovative Language Access Project will provide Jewish Family and Children’s Services with over one hundred hours of no-cost language translation and interpretation services during our fall 2017 cycle, which begins in earnest on October 2nd. https://www.globalwordsmiths.com/the-language-access-project Invest in Her. Refugee Health Advocacy Project

Funded by the PA Office of Refugee Resettlement and aligned with their Refugee Preventive Health Program goals, the Refugee Health Promotion in Allegheny County project will provide training and resources to support refugees in accessing and utilizing healthcare, preventive healthcare and behavioral health services, as well as developing healthy lifestyle habits. Nine educational project modules are being created with the help of partners including: the Allegheny County Department of Human Services, Bhutanese Community Association of Pittsburgh, Jewish Family & Children’s Service, Northern Area Multi-Service Center, South Hills Interfaith Movement, Squirrel Hill Health Center, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital.
