Vibrancy Award Recipient! We are honored to receive one of New Sun Rising’s first ever Vibrancy Awards (and the exciting $10,000 prize!) in the category of Opportunity next month. Join us at the Ace Hotel Ballroom on Friday March 1, 2019 as the work of PearlArts (Culture), Millvale Community Library (Sustainability), and Global Wordsmiths (Opportunity) is celebrated. Attendees will enjoy a Mardi Gras inspired event including food, drinks, and entertainment. As always, we are so thankful! Tickets available here.
Networking w/ Global Wordsmiths. Global Wordsmiths is teaming up with Invest in HER to host the first in a series of “Networking w/ _____” events designed to build a stronger community of women entrepreneurs in Pittsburgh through peer-to-peer networking. Come hear Mary Jayne talk about making a difference, and how you can do the same with your business or enterprise. On-site childcare will be provided by Flexable (registration required) and light refreshments will be served.
Pittsburgh Public Schools Partnership. We are thrilled to announce that Global Wordsmiths has teamed up with Pittsburgh Public Schools to provide robust and comprehensive language translation and interpretation services for PPS’ families, students and staff.
International Year of Indigenous Languages. Despite their immense value, languages around the world are disappearing at an alarming rate. With this in mind, the United Nations has declared 2019 the Year of Indigenous Languages, in order to raise awareness of them, not only to benefit those who speak these languages, but also so that others may appreciate the contribution they make to our world’s rich cultural diversity. Client Spotlight: TEIS, Inc.
TEIS Early Intervention Provider was founded in 2004 by two Early Intervention therapists, Tara Deringor and Julie Hudak-Lacouture. TEIS Early Intervention Provider employs, manages, and trains physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, developmental therapists, nutritionists, vision therapists, social workers, and hearing therapists to empower families to help their children ages birth to three to reach their potential. TEIS therapists share the passion that led Tara and Julie to Early Intervention. Under the guidance of Team Leads, TEIS therapists cherish their roles as experts, mentors, coaches, and confidants. The TEIS team utilizes a variety of resources within and across disciplines to ensure the TEIS mission: To empower all of those whose lives we touch; starting with employees, families, children, and the community. In an increasingly diverse community, TEIS therapists enjoy working alongside multicultural families and look forward to having more opportunities to do so.
